Sales Navigator is worth it if you’ll search for new buyers every week and one new customer is worth several times its yearly cost. Core costs $1,079.88 a year on annual billing (checked 29 September 2026). If your buyers are mostly in your network already, start without it.

Is LinkedIn Sales Navigator worth it?

It’s worth it when you prospect every week and your deals are large enough that one new customer pays back years of the seat. It isn’t worth it when you prospect only now and then, or your own network already holds your buyers.

Worth it if:

  • You need new buyers every week, not only the ones you already know.

  • One new customer is worth several times a year of the seat.

  • You want saved searches that email you new matches on their own.

Not worth it if:

  • Your buyers are already in your network, or easy to find with a normal search.

  • You prospect only occasionally.

  • You don’t have time to act on new matches every week.

For where these buyers come from in the first place, see the buying signals worth acting on.

What is LinkedIn Sales Navigator?

Sales Navigator is LinkedIn’s paid prospecting tool. It’s a separate search with more filters than a normal LinkedIn search, saved searches that email you new matches every week, lead lists you build yourself, and InMail credits each month (SNplans, a102024).

An InMail credit lets you send a paid message to someone you’re not connected to. InMail vs a connection request covers when that’s worth using.

How much does Sales Navigator cost?

Core costs $119.99 a month or $1,079.88 a year. Advanced costs $159.99 a month or $1,799.88 a year. Advanced Plus is priced on request. In the UK, Core is £94.99 a month or £959.88 a year (SNplans).

Sales Navigator prices checked 29 September 2026
Plan Monthly Annual Effective monthly on annual InMail credits a month
Core $119.99 $1,079.88 About $89.99 50
Advanced $159.99 $1,799.88 About $149.99 50
Advanced Plus Priced on request Priced on request Not published 50

Annual billing saves about 25% on Core and about 6% on Advanced against paying monthly, by our own arithmetic on LinkedIn’s published prices, not a rate LinkedIn states directly. For where this sits against tools and agencies, see what LinkedIn lead generation costs in 2026.

What’s the difference between Core, Advanced and Advanced Plus?

Core is for one seller. Advanced adds team features such as shared seats, buyer intent data and CRM integration. Advanced Plus adds deeper CRM work and a dedicated LinkedIn team. A founder selling alone rarely needs more than Core.

What’s the difference between Core, Advanced and Advanced Plus?
Plan Built for Adds over Core
Core One seller Not applicable
Advanced A sales team Shared seats, buyer intent, CRM integration
Advanced Plus A larger sales organisation Deeper CRM work, a dedicated LinkedIn team

What’s the difference between Sales Navigator and LinkedIn Premium?

They’re separate subscriptions. Premium Business costs $69.99 a month with 15 InMail credits and unlimited people search. Sales Navigator starts at $119.99 a month and adds more than 50 sales-specific search filters, saved searches, lead lists and 50 InMail credits (SNvsP, PremBiz).

What’s the difference between Sales Navigator and LinkedIn Premium?
Item Premium Business Sales Navigator Core
Price a month $69.99 $119.99
InMail credits a month 15 50
Search Unlimited people search 50+ sales-specific filters
Saved searches with alerts No Yes
Lead lists No Yes

Is LinkedIn Premium worth it for lead generation?

Premium Business is the cheaper middle step. It’s worth it if you need more InMail credits and unlimited search, but not saved searches or lead lists.

For weekly list building, Sales Navigator does more for about $50 more a month.

How much does LinkedIn Premium cost?

Premium Business lists at $69.99 a month or $539.88 a year, on LinkedIn’s own page, prices as of 20 April 2026, checked 29 September 2026 (PremBiz).

Is there a free trial of Sales Navigator?

LinkedIn offers free trials to eligible members from its own plans page. Eligibility rules can change, so check your own on that page before you buy, rather than a figure quoted somewhere else.

Can you do LinkedIn outreach without Premium or Sales Navigator?

Yes. A free account can search, invite and message your connections. Its limits are three or five personalized notes a month, LinkedIn’s own pages disagree on which a563153 a550555, and no InMail credits a543895.

Our Starter plan ($299 a month) works this way: your existing connections plus people a normal LinkedIn search finds.

How do you find leads on LinkedIn without Sales Navigator?

  1. Use LinkedIn’s regular people search and its filters, such as job title, company and location.

  2. Save the people worth contacting in your own list, since a free account has no saved-search alerts.

  3. Repeat the same search every week, since nothing will notify you of new matches.

It’s slower, because searches don’t alert you to new matches, but it costs nothing a102024 for what a saved search would have done instead.

Can you generate leads on LinkedIn for free?

Yes. Message your existing connections, invite people from a normal search with a clear reason, and answer every reply. A free account loses personalized-note volume and InMail credits, not the ability to start conversations.

Does Sales Navigator give you email addresses or phone numbers?

Sales Navigator isn’t a contact database. LinkedIn’s plan page lists search, lists, alerts and InMail credits, not email or phone data (SNplans).

Tools that pull emails off profiles fall under LinkedIn’s ban on scraping. See what LinkedIn says about automation tools for the rule in full.

Can you export leads from Sales Navigator?

Not as a spreadsheet. You save leads to lists, and on Advanced, sync them with a CRM. Copying results out with a scraper breaks the User Agreement (UA 8.2).

Does Sales Navigator work for high-ticket B2B sales?

The bigger your deal, the faster it pays back. At $1,079.88 a year for Core, one customer worth $10,000 a year covers the seat more than nine times over, by our own arithmetic ($10,000 divided by $1,079.88 is about 9.3).

The real test is whether you’ll use it every week, not the size of your average deal alone.

What are the alternatives to Sales Navigator?

The main alternatives are a free account with careful search, Premium Business, a B2B data tool, or a service that builds the lists for you. Each trades money for time or data quality.

What are the alternatives to Sales Navigator?
Alternative What you get What it costs
Free account, careful search Regular search and filters, no alerts Nothing
Premium Business Unlimited search, 15 InMail credits $69.99 a month
A B2B data tool Company and contact data outside LinkedIn Varies by vendor
A service that builds lists for you Lists built and kept current for you Varies by provider

On our Signal ($699) and Authority ($1,999) plans we build your lists in Sales Navigator. Starter ($299) uses normal LinkedIn search. Full scope is on our pricing.

Quick answers

What do you get with Premium Business?

15 InMail credits a month, unlimited people search and a year of profile viewers (PremBiz).

Can prospects see that you viewed their profile?

That depends on your own profile-viewing setting, which you can check in your account settings. We haven’t verified the current defaults closely enough to state them here.

What happens to your InMail credits if you cancel?

They aren’t transferred if you cancel a101030.

Are cheap resold Sales Navigator licences legit?

Buy directly from LinkedIn. Sharing or reselling access breaks the rule against sharing your account (UA 2.2).

How do you open Sales Navigator?

Through LinkedIn’s own subscription pages, from your account settings or the Sales Navigator plans page.

Spend follows targeting, not the other way round

A seat on Sales Navigator doesn’t fix outreach that reaches the wrong people. See when outreach reaches the wrong people before you decide what to pay for.

We run your LinkedIn outreach. Software does the sending; your operator, a GTM engineer on our team, picks who to contact, writes every message, answers every reply and books the meeting. Plans from $299 a month.
